Super Dream Party: Zones and Stages Part 3

~ Hub Area: Research Base ~

Located near the Kultn Rainforest in Paorqevu is the research base for CNISI that mainly focuses on environmental subjects, but also deals with energy-related experiments and research as well. Because a significant amount of the resources and staff also come from Sihramel and Lonzeno there are private airports nearby with cargo and passenger planes going there as well.

Home Rooms – When they aren’t being tested in order to better understand how their species and worlds work, the heroes and other aliens are given their own rooms to settle in with everything CNISI can provide to make them feel comfortable. This is where the members of the SDP can rest, listen to music, view their collection and talk with their friends.

Mosaic – One of the few iconic places in the small town near the base is a store that sells artwork of all kinds from many different types of artists; it helps that they’re in constant contact with the Mark-Stone Museum. One of the residents by the name of Cocoa is a frequent customer who is given permission to create her lifelike sculptures and more abstract pieces within the store for all to see, and is accepting of commissions (so long as it’s appropriate). The SDP can not only purchase artwork here but also pay Cocoa to create small models of virtually anything or anyone they’ve seen.

Science Chess – Officially acknowledged as Science Chess by the people who first came up with it (knowing that the general public would call it that regardless), this complex game uses scientific elements and physics as the basis of the rules and mechanics of the game. It’s hard to follow for those unfamiliar, but once you get to understand how it works it can become riveting and intense seeing two high level players go at it even when played at a moderate pace. Practice is free, but the SDP will have to fork up cash and perhaps their own pride if they wish to partake in this intellectual sport.

Pawn-Der – A pawn shop that got its name as a self-deprecating joke by the owner Fernet when his eldest son pointed out how long he would ponder to think of a clever name for the store. Fernet and his two sons take in just about anything so long as it’s authentic, there’s a market for it and there’s a reasonable price; despite the bickering between the boys, they’re professionals that can be counted on to find out the real monetary value of items. Anything the SDP have collected be it music, art, movies, clothing and even models would be perfectly viable to sell, some items even going for quite a pretty penny.

Photo Booth – While the base has its own set of camera rooms, those are only for official or research purposes unlike this booth found in the town. Cameras are available on many other devices so this isn’t nearly as used as it was when it first got shown, but you’ll occasionally see tourists take a set of photos at a time for a souvenir. The SDP can take whoever they have with them to take all the goofy and light-hearted photos they want for free.

~ Rainforest Wilderness ~

The largest rainforest in not only Paorqevu but also the entire world, there are countless unique species of animals and plants alongside the remains of an ancient civilization, many of which have yet to be discovered. Who knows what the SDP may run into here?

Singing Swamp – In the southern regions lie the swamps, home to many aquatic and amphibious, including the large frogs that are said to be able to predict the coming of rain and the terrifying crocodiles that can take down large vehicles.

Savage Understory – Though it’s a lot smaller portion than people usually claim, there are some parts of the forest where the animals are most ferocious and unrelenting. It’s said that old tribes that used to live nearby would have adolescents travel there and face one of the mighty beasts as a rite of passage.

???? ?????? – What could be hidden here?

~ Mark-Stone Museum ~

The Mark-Stone Museum is one of the most fascinating landmarks in Paorqevu if you’re interested in history. The place is loaded with relics and items from all over the world showcasing a little bit of history from everywhere. Recently however and most likely as a result of the dimensional crossover there have been many strange phenomenon occurring here.

Archive Anarchy – One of the largest sections of the museum is the library that the building used to be before expanding into what it is now. Rows upon rows of records, works of fiction, old tomes and even scriptures and depictions that’s not on paper... and they appear to have come to life.

Back In Time – The many exhibits of the museum showcase everything from objects, artwork, taxidermy animals and skeletons. If you didn’t find it a riveting experience then, you might it find it more interesting now with the animated exhibits and miniature portals to different time periods.

????-???? – Huh, weird.

~ Golden Desert ~

Smack dab in the middle of Sihramel is one of the largest deserts in Arcobaln, and considered one of the most beautiful; at a certain point of day and when you aren’t walking through it that is. This was once populated by a great empire that is said to have been the origin of magic being used by Palnos, and the ruins of that empire still remain as a tourist attraction.

Spicy Marketplace – The small town of Tabilarf that happens to be the closest to the most iconic of the ruins, the pyramids, and such tends to get a lot of tourists that make up a good sum of the towns income. The other part comes from the expansive herbs, spices and incense market that makes this place easily recognizable.

Sol Pyramids – The pyramids were the storage of all the royals most prized possessions and their ultimate resting place. Some say unusual magic emanates within the depths, and some even claim that voices of the royals can still be heard.

????????? ??????? – Man, what’s up with this place?

~ Dragon Mountain ~

A place of impressive size and awe, but for the people of Lonzeno-o also a place of great shame. Xan-Gau-Bu Mountain (as it’s officially known) was once a mining site for precious minerals and valuable materials before it became the place where a greedy emperor tricked the remaining Dragons of Lonzeno-o into all hiding in what they thought was a sanctuary but was actually a fatal trap. That same emperor would meet a karmic fate, and from then on all mining ceased under fear that the Dragon’s anger persisted as a curse.

Fossil Quarry – The former mining site once housed many precious minerals, ores and other materials such as the fossils of prehistoric lifeforms, in addition to the latest technology during its run that helped influence modern machines. Unless evidence suggests that there is something worth mining there that isn’t available anywhere else, all mining is completely forbidden.

Hidden Temple – This was the secret meditation area for the emperors of Lonzeno-o until the mining site was shut down, after which this was discovered but nothing was taken out of fear that it was cursed. There are many hidden trapdoors and secret storage areas.

????? ?? ??????????? – We’re in for a wild ride!

~ Volcanic Wasteland ~

The eastern coast region of Paorqevu known as Chapuaka Valley once had a bright tropical beach and forest near an island, until several centuries ago when the island volcano erupted and wiped out on the land nearby and blanketing the sky with a thick layer of ash and smoke for decades before finally clearing. What remains is an empty, barren field, though there appears to be signs of life returning, including that which was thought to be extinct.

Prehistoric Passage – A large valley that has some signs of plant life returning, but more surprising is the appearance of giant creatures that were thought to be extinct. They seem pretty out of the loop, but that doesn’t stop them from being as voracious as ever.

Steel Refinery – While the CSM appear to be laying low until they strike, there is one place that’s been confirmed as a base of their operations, and that’s near the dormant volcano. The construction of their malicious machines is the main purpose, but they don’t seem intent on losing it without a fight.

????? ???? – It’s here is it?

The final part of the area and stage descriptions for my crossover fan-game idea Super Dream Party, specifically focusing on the places you’ll be in Paorqevu, Sihramel and Lonzeno-o. If you’re curious as to why it’s set up like that is because it ultimately comes back to having basic stage tropes as the main basis for all the locations which would make up a world; I then categorised them into three areas for hub worlds to connect to, and based the areas around the stages. Because some stages fitted better in other locations however, I decided to make this hub area less focused on where it is and more so what its purpose is. It’s just the end result of a quirky mindset that drove this entire idea, and there are many little facts and details that I could discuss regarding how I came up with the stuff I did for this concept.

That’s it for all the stages, or at least as much as I can say for now without giving any plot details away. Even if it's in a much more shortened state, I'm so glad I was actually able to complete this part of my idea; writing up the stages was where I got stuck the first time I wrote up Super Dream Party (back when it was Super Dream Brigade) and gave up. Now that it's done, I'm hopeful that I'll be able to finish off the rest of this project as well. Up next for this project are the allies of the SDP and what they can do to help the heroes. Until then, take care everybody
